When you apply for a VA approval, the basis will be the existing standards for water supply and drainage systems. This means that the approval process comprises equipment which is a part of a water distribution or drainage system in buildings with an associated piece of land.
We decide whether the construction product can be approved on the basis of the information available about the product, such as reports from foreign testing institutions. We may also choose to have the product tested at a testing institute acknowledged by us. The test results will be taken into consideration as part of the overall assessment of how well suited the product is to obtain a VA approval.
The approval process also includes an examination of whether water supply and drainage systems are completed and designed in a manner providing sufficient security with regard to fire, safety and health aspects. The product must also be of satisfactory quality when used.

Prices are adjusted in relation to the net price index for 2015 and rounded off to the nearest DKK 50.
A renewal for three years is regarded as an approval for three years.
The price of renewal implies that new approvals are issued in case of changes, for instance if an approval is extended, transferred or discontinued.
If you have changed your construction product in relation to an existing VA approval, you will have to pay the renewal price, however, not more than DKK 3,000. It is a precondition that the changes are not essential to the contents and extent of the construction product. The new approval is issued to you with the same expiry date as that of the original approval.
